GEORGE (was Navie)

On 4th December, a distraught Ali wrote “And so it was that our precious George
decided yesterday that he'd had enough and we helped him to the Bridge with peace
and dignity in his bed in front of the fire.

Rescued aged 11yrs through IRR 3 and a half years ago (we were only meant to be
fostering!) from a not so great life to running in fields with us and our other dogs.
One of his more famous exploits was approaching a group of children enjoying a picnic
and slowly but very determinedly stealing a bag of scotch eggs and waddling back to
me with them.

An absolute legend who we will miss beyond measure.

Sweet dreams G man - you were so loved x”

Meet George (was Navie), a beautifully polite 11 year old gentleman surrendered to IRR
by his owners whose circumstances changed meaning they couldn't give him the
time he deserved. George is a delightful boy - he gets on very well with other dogs,
loves his walks and doesn't pull on the lead.

George (was Navie) thoroughly enjoys a game with his tennis ball and even at 11 can get to it
quicker than his fosterer's younger dogs!

He's fine with cats, is not greedy with food and takes treats gently.
He would love to be in a home where his owners are in for much of the time to
give him plenty of attention.

George (was Navie) is being fostered in Dorset.

August 2014

George (was Navie) has fallen on all four paws. His foster has fallen in love with him,
joined the ranks of Failed Fosterers, and George is now staying put with Ali in his Forever Home.
