Eileen was a lovely, little lady with a very big heart. She had always adored dogs but
she had a very special connection with Bracken which, we know, wasn’t broken
even after Bracken crossed Rainbow Bridge. We feel sure they are now happily reunited.

Eileen had a wonderful family who she idolised. She was never happier than when
she was doing something with or for them. She seemed to be forever busy, if not
with the family then with one of her many friends, having coffee or shopping or
lending a hand where she could.

She loved Elvis, Rod Stewart and Michael Buble and was an avid fan of tennis and
Strictly Come Dancing. Her life was very full and, to outsiders, she always
seemed to be very happy although she did worry about her family and all her
friends when they had problems.

No matter how full her days, Eileen would always find time to help IRR if she could
and, only back in August, she sent us loads of her beautiful homemade gifts tags
and lavender bags for us to sell on our stall at a Village Day. She even thought of
us to the last by requesting donations at her funeral be made to Irish Retriever
Rescue so she could, once again, help other dogs like her beautiful Bracken.

It is hard to believe a few short weeks ago our dear friend was her usual chirpy self,
happy to be dog sitting for a neighbour. Then, going day by day from a bit poorly to
terminally ill, in no time, she had slipped peacefully away on Thursday 21st December 2017.

We were just a small part of her full life but her doggy friends all loved her to bits
and we all miss her terribly even though lovely homemade reminders of her
seem to surround us all.

Our thoughts are with Eileen’s family and other close friends at this very sad time.

Goodbye lovely lady and God bless you xx

Remembering my gorgeous girl Bracken .......with your soft warm nature and a
temperament to match that was faultless ......  it was a privilege to share
my life with you for 7 wonderful years.

You were unique and one in a million in every way.
I will miss you always   ..........  sending you 7 huge kisses   XXXXXXX

For sure, Bracken is now reunited with her sister, Stella who, sadly, passed
only 3 weeks ago, and Stella's daughter, Honey who went to Rainbow Bridge in 2014.

Sadly, Brackie's very good friend Abbey has also passed. Joining her at the Bridge
on 23rd April.

In memory of Bracken, her name tag and crystal are inside her trinket box and she is
now together with her brothers and sisters in the remembrance arch.

Eileen is really grateful for all the lovely cards and presents given to her in Bracken's
memory as well as the very special gifts sent from Brackie herself.

My Brackie’s gone to Rainbow Bridge with Stella and with Honey
I know they are together now because she’s sent me money

Two shiny coins and one less bright ... two sisters and a niece
I know for sure they all are safe, my mind has now found peace

Plus one white feather found by me whilst opening my box
Of fifty ps, all saved to be my special buying stocks.

The two bright coins had come as change. All I could do was stare.
Whilst walking, Taz sat down to show the penny laying there.

Dog angels send us pennies and pure white feathers too
A friend had said … I wondered?  but now I know it’s true
