Bob Yeats
When rescued, BOB was about 3 years old and was neutered in Ireland. He was surrendered as his owner “could no longer care for him.” Sandie says he’s such a lovely boy and very good. He certainly loves his cuddles.
FIRST UPDATE ON BOB
Bob was fostered by Jane in the Midlands.
Jane says, “Bob has been here for over a week now and he seems a totally different dog. He is so happy and looks as if he has a smile on his face. At home he will always come to you when called but is still a little unsure whether he is going to get shouted at or fussed.
He is enjoying his food and an occasional treat but still needs to put on weight and get those muscles toned up!! He is very gentle when taking food from your hand.
Bob still has the occasional accident during the night but is fine during the day. I have been leaving the back door open in the daytime so he can go outside.
He walks well on a lead if he is on his own but if he is with Tess our own dog, it becomes a contest of who can get to the fields in the quickest possible time dragging me behind them!
Bob seems fine with cats and has meets lots of other dogs and seems quite happy.
When out he is very friendly and nosey and will go to anyone who shows him attention. He has met children of all ages and will join in to play with them. He is a lovely dog and we will all miss him when he goes to his forever home”.
SECOND UPDATE ON BOB
Bob does like all the attention and if we fuss Tess he muscles in and pushes her out of the way, but is not aggressive in any way. You can take toys out of his mouth and move his food away and he does not bother at all.
He is a very loveable dog and loves meeting other dogs when we are out. As long as he is not on a long lead or in a secure field (have let him off in the school field which is surrounded by a fence) he runs around happily with the other dogs. I do think he would be better on his own with someone that can give him the attention that he deserves after his hard start in life.
Took him to meet my parents today who have a 10 year old westie bitch and they were great together but when we went for a walk he met 2 Alsatians both on leads and they were barking at him so he started baring his teeth and barking but as soon as we removed him from the situation he was great and back to his usual dopey self!!
UPDATE AUGUST 2008
Jane says: “Bob has now gone with Mike and his daughter to his forever home. I am sure he will have a wonderful life and will be spoilt rotten which he deserves after his tough start in life.”
FIRST PHOTOS OF BOB IN HIS NEW HOME
Serena says: “Bob has settled in really well. He had a good car journey and was very excited to get out of the car and explore!!!!!!!
We went round the garden lots of times, (with Bob in the lead and me closely behind!!!!!!) so Bob could familiarise himself with the new smells!!!
I played ball with him all afternoon and now he is very tired…………….
The photos are of him and me in the garden.”
BOB HAVING FUN IN DEVON
Serena said, “Bob, my Dad and I went to Devon during half term and I thought you might like to look at some photos of Bob.
We went to North Devon and stayed near Combe Martin so we walked up some ‘mountains’ and we walked along the beach!!!!
Bob was really amazing on the beach as he out-ran any dog, running after his ball and was back within seconds!!!!
He is doing very well and he is getting FATTER!!!
Bob: Update from his Forever home – April 2012
