Bobby
THE STORY OF BOBBY
Bobby was handed in to our vets in Ireland last Monday morning as the chap that had bought him realised he was unable to keep him in his small apartment.
Naturally, everybody in the vets office wanted him but when Sandie attended with her own dogs she said she wasn’t leaving without him. As much as she was looking forward to the cuddles, reality soon hit home that how would she cope with an 11 week old puppy and her own 8 dogs – not least of all, her own big puppy Monty.
So she phoned Michael (our transporter) to see when he was going over to the UK next and that’s where the story ends – or begins!! Sandie left the vets and drove 150 miles down to meet Michael and needless to say, the pup got no further.
Michael & Julie have a 5 year old Golden Retriever called Misty and two children, Michael (2) and Molly (8 months) and Bobby has fitted into their home like he was born to be nowhere else. Misty, who doesn’t particularly like other dogs, loves him and won’t let him out of her sight. He is taking his lead from her and does everything she does. The children just adore him and it was young Michael who gave him his name (Bob the builder). And Michael & Julie are just absolutely mad about him – Michael phones Sandie every day with updates.
Sandie realises that she disappointed a lot of people but knows that Bobby has a brilliant home and a great life ahead of him.
