Bonnie Jones
Sad News 19 January 2023
Bonnie’s mum said, “Last night Bonnie fell up the bottom steps on the stairs.
We spent the night on the living room floor together holding hands-paws.
She looked so pitiful at me this morning that I knew what she wanted.
Ivo the vet and a nurse came out to the house. And at midday wrapped in our arms our very loyal and devoted Little Miss Bonnie crossed over Rainbow Bridge to go and find Buddy and have a jolly good play while they wait for their dad to join them. Buddy passed his placid demeanor on to Bonnie but having her from a puppy we were able to train her with recall which was rarely needed as she always stayed close to me.
After spending 24/7 with me for 10 months (she came to work with me) I went into hospital for 5 weeks, 4 times, since then she’s was attached to me by an invisible lead. Even reminding me when to take my medication, saving my life a number of times after my transplant. She never begged for food, unless we were in the kitchen, carrots & frozen vegetables her favourites.
She is still here in my heart and will be forever. She saved my life so many times just by reminding me to take my immunosuppressant medication after my transplant, I’ve already missed my 6pm meds.
Sleep tight sweetheart God bless you and safe travels over the bridge.
Thank you IRR for the last 13 years of love and devotion from Buddy and Bonnie. X
Bonnie was fostered 12 Dec 2012 and adopted February 2013, we failed as fosterers.”
