Brodie Jolly
GOODBYE LOVELY BOY (5.2.2019)
Lorraine shared on Facebook “Brody – a true gentleman and a lovely boy – left for RainbowBridge yesterday, the 5th February.
His Mum, Ann, asked if anyone on the group used Onsior or Turmeric capsules. Brody’s medications were not cheap to buy and, in his honour, it seemed fitting to donate them to another dog who would benefit from them.
Homes were quickly found for his medication. It was the last act of kindness that could be done in the knowledge that Brody would have been more than happy to have helped other dogs. RIP Brody”
HISTORY
In 2014, a 5 year old Brodie, from Ireland, was surrendered to IRR when his family had to move abroad. He was used to being the centre of a family and had impeccable manners in the house.
He fitted easily into living with his fosterer’s 4 dogs and was affectionate, good on the lead and clearly very intelligent. Brodie was Bruno fine with children but untested with cats.

FIRST UPDATE ON BRODIE (NOVEMBER 2014)
There is great news on Brodie (was Bruno) from his adoptive Mum. She says “I am like the proud mother of a new baby! Brodie has settled in so well and follows us around the house all the time and sits at our feet during mealtimes.
He’s very strong and has stacks of energy but he’s getting to know all our habits and routines and we are seeing a gradual calming and relaxing of his mind. He’s very greedy and is quite easily trainable with treats. He could already sit, but he’s learnt ‘down’ ‘roll over’ and he mostly comes when called, while on a long line or even off a lead altogether. He is also accepting other dogs much better than he did two weeks ago.
Tonight, we have got the 6 and 4 year old grandchildren staying the night (for the first time since Brodie arrived) and he positively loves children. He really is our very special boy!”
