Chadwick

Shadow is a russet-coloured neutered male Golden Retriever who was born on 12.12.2014 in Eire.

HISTORY

This 11 month old, fortunately, has no medical issues but is apprehensive and nervous due to, clearly, being hit by someone. He is very, very underweight, with his rib cage clearly visible.

PERSONALITY

Shadow is a sweet boy who responds well to gentle handling. He loves to be brushed.

SOCIAL LEARNING

CHILDREN: It is unknown whether he is used to children so small children would be best avoided.

DOGS: He seems to get on really well with all other dogs.

CATS: It is unknown how he behaves with cats.

SHADOW’S DREAM HOME

Shadow needs people with experience of rescue dogs who are patient and gentle with him and who will give him plenty of reassurance. In such a home, he wouldn’t need to have another dog for company.

He longs to give love but is afraid to do so. A softly, softly approach is necessary with a family, preferably with adult teenagers rather than small children, who will understand that this boy is a work in progress. If he is gently included in all they do, his personality will be given the chance to broaden and his full potential will be reached. As he is very young, in the right family, with plenty of love and total commitment made to him, Shadow will make a truly loving pet.

We are very fortunate to have found the perfect family in Ireland who understand Shadow’s situation and are anxious to help him. They are fully committed to making Shadow’s life a wonderful one.

He is now called Chadwick.
