Codi
Codi’s History
Codi was one of the eight pups surrendered to IRR, briefly fostered in Ireland and rehomed.
Update from Codi’s forever home February 2013
Here’s what Codi’s adopter had to say:
The first days of treating the house as a warmer extension of whatever dismal abode she had previously inhabited were filled with mixed emotions and anxieties – not just for her. The endless cleaning up of the waste of whatever food and water she would wolf down as if there would never be food again, the howling in the night and the puzzled expressions of trying to understand why she was once again being dumped outside made it feel a little as if someone had just thrown a grenade in the kitchen.
But the girls made sure she was showered in love and the positives soon won through. She relished the increased playtime, attention and walks; of a full house at Christmas, and by the time it was over she had been fully settled in as part of the family. Pretty much fully house trained also with only an occasional accident.
Best moments so far:
Meeting her double Singa on the local beach and the freak-out of a playtime they have.
The hilarity of her (accidental) discovery of lemon, closely followed by her fascination with and possessive attitude to ice.
Worst:
To get her to walk on a lead without pulling or dragging, slow down on her food, stop jumping up on strangers, come when she’s called…….all in good time. She’s a cracker!
