Emma Green
UPDATE FROM HER FOREVER HOME
Nick and Ali said, “We collected Emma from the irreplaceable Andy and Val in March 2006. We did not know what to expect, all we knew was she was about a year old and someone had given her away to a pound in Ireland. We were sure there must be hidden problems but who could say no to her.
From day one Emma has been a confident, lovable attention seeker. Our initial night gave a few minor concerns, when Emma decided she would be the boss and had rights over all of Faith, our also thrown out Lurchers’ toys.
However, the rules were set and caution turned to friendship with each day the girls became closer and closer. Emma has become darker turning the colour of her ears, and taller. She is also fearless, unworried about anything, loves everybody both four legged and two. Of course she will eat anything without previous analysis, which has included books, photographs, slippers, CD’s, countless toys, mashed in seconds to a pulp.
She is now highly proficient in the art of digging, taught by her sister, soil which normally needs explosives to create holes are the work of a single moment, but never where required. The first visit to the inaugural Reunion day was highlighted by her Special Rosette, for coming last in the obedience class, something she is very proud of but is now much more obedient realising that good behaviour has its rewards (usually tasty!).
She is a firm member of the family, the ‘lump’ as we tend to call her, when she collapses on top of you for a cuddle and has a lethal wagging tail which extends to her whole back end. Walking down the stairs with her in the morning is like taking your own life in your hands, a little like a ginger demolition ball.
She lives next door to Milly and Holly, also IRR girls and sees them every day. She likes nothing more than pinching all of their toys, and loves to compete for attention.
Her only problem now in the world is that she suffers from a condition of total excessive happiness, and is over-enthusiastic about everything. She truly seems to appreciate the second chance she has been given to be loved.”
