Fergal
Fergal came on the ferry from Eire with his Mum, Rosie. He was quite small for a goldie, being about 10 weeks old when he arrived but very confident and friendly. He showed no fear of our 4 girls and happily ran around with them, pushing in front when treats were on offer. Two of our girls love to play fight and when this happened Fergal would run up and bark at them – they were so surprised they stopped instantly.
When Rosie went to her forever home with Sally and Mark, Fergal didn’t seem to notice but he did have 4 aunts to look after him. He got on well with the chicken and gave up chasing her when she turned round and chased him back! Fergal became so confident that he would push to the front of the pack barking when anyone came to the door.
Fergal went to his forever home with Nigel and Sue on 20 February and apart from some initial problems with sleeping on his own at night, he has settled in very happily. When he arrived home Nigel said that he went all over the house depositing his new toys around the rooms. It must seem very strange to him not having the other dogs snatching his toys away from him.
