Frankie
Age: 6-7 months
Sex: male
History
Fabulous Frankie was picked up as a stray and taken to a pound where he was rescued by IRR.
Personality
This full-of-life puppy is predominantly golden retriever but there’s probably another breed in his history, most likely a red setter. He is quite slight and delicate-boned, and since he’s still quite a baby he has a lot of young dog traits. For example he still mouths like a younger pup and his fosterer is working to train him out of this habit. He is very interested in food and anything left on a kitchen counter is fair game!
Frankie does know his basic training commands, but sometimes gets over-excited and forgets what he is supposed to be doing. He hasn’t had any lead training and again his fosterer is working on this with him. He’s good with other dogs and loves meeting people.
Frankie’s Dream Home
Frankie is still a very young dog and as such will adapt to any kind of home. However, he does need a home where someone is committed to continuing to give him the positive training he needs to grow into the fabulous canine citizen he is destined to be, and who will give him plenty of exercise through his young adulthood.
Behaviour with other animals
Excellent with other dogs, untested with cats.
