Budding Literary Genius Required
Now Gizzie’s understudy Mossie (who tried his best but was, quite frankly, rubbish) has decided to join “THE MASTER” at Rainbow Bridge, an urgent vacancy has arisen for a new young “glasshopper” who will, as soon as possible, take over the esteemed role of IRR’s Exclusive Pawet and Pawthor.
NB A candidate who is also really good at pawculations will be given extra special consideration just in case donations etc ever need to be counted..
Our original Pawet Laureate, Gizmo, pawed a number of Pawitry books, ‘Paw and Disorder’, ‘Paw and Order’ and ‘Gizmo’s Little Book of Pawitry’.
His jottings were based on conversations with his many doggy friends (and trust us, Gizzie had many, many friends both doggy and human. HE NEVER discriminated (that’s wot humans do).)
His words and thoughts could simply be a mixture of his own hilarious antics or those of his mates. Most jottings contained useful information and could often be tear-jerking if not heart-breaking but, in contrast to some of the humans he encountered, his intentions were always honourable. His words were mostly thought-provoking and as helpful as possible for the humans in his life and, of course, the lives of his doggy friends.
His Pawems have frequently been dedicated to dogs who have passed to Rainbow Bridge. Humans need tissues to read them.
You can view some of Gizzie’s Pawity on the Dog Pawitry page.
If you are interested in trying to follow in his pawsteps, then he will welcome you warmly and be happy to help if ever you need him but, modest to the end, he thinks his broom has swept enough now and some young blood and fresh ideas are what is needed.
His paws and his Mum’s fingers and toes are tightly crossed that you will, at least, give us a go. Fun and laughter is guaranteed.
So send us a pawem and tell us a bit about yourself. You don’t have to be an IRR dog just a doggy supporter of what we do.
Humans are only welcome as hangers on and as long as they trust their dog’s instincts and are willing to admit that dogs know best.
Our paws are tightly crossed and we eagerly anticipate hearing from you.
