Little Cookie
Cookie was only a year old when he sadly went to the bridge. A dear, sweet pug who lost his family through divorce but found a new home with us. We thought his occasional sadness was caused by his memories, not realising that a congenital condition of the spine was starting to cause discomfort.
When Cookie finally went off his legs, he still stayed sweet and amiable; grateful for love and affection and gently letting his life slip away. Unable to move, his eyes told of his tiredness and how he couldn’t deal with the pain anymore. When he did not come round from the anesthetic of an operation that finally unearthed his problem, in many ways it was a blessing as the prognosis was very bleak.
We will never forget you Cookie and we take comfort that you are at peace at last.
With much love from Pat and family
