Loulou Sherman
GOODBYE TO OUR LOVELY LADY (13.3.2019)
A devastated Roz wrote to us on Thursday, March 14th to tell us the words we all dread to hear.
She said, “I am contacting you with the very sad news that Loulou passed away yesterday (Wednesday). It was with Ian and myself at home.
We are very grateful to you for matching us to her and for giving us some great times with each other.
She has left a very big hole in our lives but we have our memories to get us through this extremely hard time.
She was a lovely girl and a faithful friend to the end.”
We at IRR, and especially Lynne who was instrumental in creating the perfect match for you, were all very sorry to hear this sad news about Loulou. We all know how hard it is to lose such a beloved canine family member. We are sure Loulou won’t be far from Ian and Roz, looking down on them with great affection.
We can only thank them for looking after Loulou so well, for loving our special girl so much and for being there for her when she needed love and understanding. If it wasn’t for adopters like them, we don’t know where these lovely dogs would be and we shudder to think.
Our thoughts are with them both.
HISTORY
In 2014 the lovely Loulou was approximately 9 years old and she had not yet been spayed. She came from Cyprus after a joint effort with Happy Paws Rescue who had been asked for help as her family felt they were no longer able to give the time and attention that this adorable lady deserves.
FOSTER ASSESSMENT
Personality: Loulou is a lovely older girl who absolutely adores cuddles and attention … the greeting when you get up in the morning is worth its weight in gold.
She is house trained and eager to please and likes to give you her paw.
People: She seems to be very friendly to everyone including children.
Dogs: She also gets on well with other dogs, although she is a bit wary of them at first. We feel she would probably benefit from being rehomed with a dog of similar age.
Cats: Loulou would need a home without cats. Loulou loves her walks and happily plods along taking in her new surroundings and also likes to play ball.
Loulou’s Dream Home
Loulou’s dream home is a very loving one with plenty of time for her but with no cats. She would suit being an only dog as long as people were with her most of the time or with another dog of similar age as her companion.
