Max & Scout Bull
UPDATE FROM THEIR FOREVER HOME (19.5.2015)
Glyn and Faye tell us “They are really great boys and have settled in very well. They are enjoying 3 good walks a day and are ready for a long rest in the evenings in front of the TV. They are walking well with their harnesses, the next step being some recall work so we can confidently let them off the lead. No need to say they love their food and our children.
Thank you so much to David and Alison for making the adoption process so enjoyable and please pass on our thanks to everyone involved at IRR”.
HISTORY
Max and Scout are two 18 months old pedigree Golden Retrievers who have been neutered, chipped, wormed and vaccinated.
They are brothers who have been with their owners since they were 8 weeks old but they need a new loving, forever home together due to their family relocating. Max and Scout need to be rehomed together as they are very attached to each other and would be lost if they were separated.
When you see one, the other is not far behind. They have slept outside since they were 9 months old and love nothing better than to cuddle up to each other for their night’s sleep.
Their owners are terribly sad to be letting them go but, having been recommended to ask IRR for help, they know we will be sure to rehome their dogs together and to make certain this will have a very happy ending
PERSONALITY
They are very social around new people and animals and, anytime they meet somebody new, they just want to play. Max is slightly bigger and has a thicker coat. He is the boss of the 2. He is very loving and playful and is also the more sensitive of the two. Scout, on the other hand, is a quieter dog, easier to train and his favourite game is playing fetch the ball with the kids. Both dogs love playing on the beach and jumping into the water.
SOCIAL LEARNING
Housetraining: Having lived inside for their first 9 months, they should be properly housetrained.
Lead walking: It takes them a few minutes to get used to the lead as they have rarely gone for a walk, being more used to running around in a 3 acre garden.
Children: They are well used to being around children having lived with 3 young children who loved rolling around the garden playing.
A DREAM HOME FOR MAX AND SCOUT
These two easy going boys could probably be rehomed almost anywhere as they are lovely and friendly and have no really bad habits. They do need a little more training and, of course, a lot of love and attention.
