Murphy

MURPHY’S HISTORY

Murphy is a young cross, about 10 months old, who was taken in as a stray by Louth SPCA

INITIAL REPORT – IRELAND: MAY 2012

He’s a beautiful, gentle dog who loves nothing more than to be cuddled and his ear played with. He isn’t a bit mouthy which is great considering he’s so young and although he likes playing, he far prefers a cuddle. He’s very good with other dogs and is a very sweet boy.

FOSTERER’S THIRD REPORT – UK: JULY 2012

Murphy has moved to a different foster family in Warwick. This is what his new fosterer has to say about him:

Where do I begin? Murphy has been with us for just over a week and it feels like he has been part of our family forever. For such a young boy he is absolutely amazing. He has good commands and he is not food aggressive.

This boy is an all-round star.

He adores my Goldie Molly and there is some serious love in the air!!! He is brilliant with both boys and girls and has the kindest sweetest nature both to humans and other animals.

He has played constantly with all my pet sitting dogs and when they go home has the saddest look on his face.

Murphy has brought so much laughter to our home. He is such a klutz and bumps into things and he loves nothing more than to be held in your arms and rocked like a baby.

Murphy’s lead walking is superb as is his recall. Murphy loves water and had great fun in the river with my girls retrieving the ball. He loves going into the field and will spend hours retrieving his ball. When at home he will walk around with his ball in his mouth. He is also happy to share any toys with other dogs. He is very respectful of our home and is not a destructive dog. I have not been able to cat test him.

Murphy would be suitable for any family home with or without another dog. He would be very suitable to be with children of all ages.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, fun loving, sweet natured dog then Murphy is the perfect boy. Photos cannot show just how handsome this boy really is.

FOSTERER’S FIRST REPORT – UK: MAY 2012

Murphy is settling in really well; he’s friendly, playful, and placid and is beginning to walk well on a lead. He gets on with children and they feel safe.

On the whole he is a lovely dog; very bright and observant and comes when called. He has settled well with Poppie.

FOSTERER’S SECOND REPORT – UK: JUNE 2012

Murphy now knows his name and will come when called (unless of course something far more interesting is going on elsewhere). We have taught him to sit and to give his paw. He is still pulling on the lead a little but this is improving. He is extremely affectionate and full of fun.

Murphy is generally well behaved with other dogs (obviously very interested in playing). We feel he is a bright dog and fairly quick to catch on to what you tell him.

He also likes to sit on your lap which is endearing in such a large dog.

SEPTEMBER 2012

Murphy has moved to a new foster home in Warwick with Helen and Jon. We are pleased to say that they have fallen in love with Murphy and that this is now his Forever Home.
