Nina
NINA’S STORY
Nina came to us as a stray who served her time in the Pound. She is 14 years old, not that you’d ever believe it to see her run across the garden when called. She’s been checked over by our vet who says she has quite a bad heart murmur for which she’ll be on medication for the rest of her life. She settled in immediately when she arrived at Sandie’s, taking over Oscar’s bed – much to his disgust, it was as though she’d lived there all her life. She wasn’t a bit perturbed by the other dogs.
March 2014 – Update
Nina was going to live out her days with a friend of Sandie’s and his 4 dogs, but as Nina had made herself so much at home and seemed to enjoy the open space, Sandie decided that she couldn’t part with her. She’s now a very integral part of the pack, as though she’s never lived anywhere else. Nobody can believe that Nina is 14 years old as she’s very spritely, has very clear eyes, gleaming teeth and her hearing is as sharp as any pup – but yes, her chip was registered in 2000.
