Nouska
Age: Two and a half
Sex: Female
History:
Anouska was surrendered to IRR as her family could no longer care for her.
Personality:
Very bright, energetic and loveable. Anouska craves to learn. She has already learned the basic commands and is crate trained. She has a great food drive and waits patiently for the command ‘Go on’ before she eats. On greeting you she will take your sleeve, very gently, and guide you to outside or wherever she wants you to go. Anouska is fantastic around all dogs. She is a real lady and extremely affectionate.
Anouska’s Dream Home:
A calm, child free home with at least one other dog, where she can enjoy lots of exercise and play. Anouska needs to be adopted by someone who has the time and patience to enable her to adjust to her new surroundings at her own pace.
JUNE 2013 – Nouska has gone to her Forever Home
Candy says:
Nouska has settled amazingly quickly with Red (dog) and Gussie (cat). They share all aspects of their lives together – toys and favoured patches of sunshine in the garden. She has taken the meeting of a wide variety of farm animals in her stride – some of her favourite aspects of farming being feed time of the 15 not so feral cats! She thrives on short daily lessons as they give her a parameter within which she feels comfortable. Nouska bounces and frolics like a puppy, walks me around holding onto my sleeve, asks to climb onto my lap for a cuddle in the evening and sleeps either on my bed pushing me slowly further and further to one side or sleeps beside the bed on her duvet but is always ready with a lick should I put my hand out at anytime of the night.
UPDATE JULY 2013
Candy says: “Nouska is proudly wearing her very pretty shamrock tag which suits her feminity. She is now known as the Princess Not To Be Kept Waiting! and she continues to rule the roost but why not as she truly is a lovely dog who is supremely happy and at peace with herself.
Here are a couple of pics of us after we took a short cut through the forestry! I too was equally black!”
