From Maxine Julius, one of the Judges of the Novelty classes,
Glad you all got back safely. It was wonderful to meet, for the first time, all of the people I had been writing to for ages, and also to catch up again with people I had not seen for some time. Ann and I thoroughly enjoyed being with you and your furkids, and appreciated you letting us do the novelty judging, although some of the categories were extremely difficult – for example who has ever seen a dog that does not have appealing eyes???!!! I was soooo moved to meet the furkids whose progress I had read about in the group’s emails, and to see how healthy, happy and loved they all are now – Rupert, Jumble (amazing that these two are brothers) Ricky and Kelly. It was fantastic to meet my adopted niece, Molly, her friend Kerry, their Mum, Kaz, and son Luke. Molly certainly landed on her paws with Kaz, Luke and Kerry – she is so loved and very happy. Kaz – let me know what I owe for the sponsored ‘lie down’ that Kerry was doing for Molly (Molly spent most of the time chewing Kaz’s bag)!!!! Special thanks to Lorraine, Joy, Pauline, Lynne and Kaz for all the work they put in. We and all the furkids owe such a lot to them. Sandie – so happy to have met you at last, and one of those days I shall be over, and when I do I look forward to meeting up again with you too, Janice. Great to see you again Pauline – and my fur-nephews, and to meet Gizmo. Hope Steve gets better soon. Christine – I look forward to seeing your photos. Thank you for giving Ann the batteries so I could get some pictures of my adopted niece. Sandra – thank you for your kind words of support. You must have been really happy to see Rupert, Jumble and Ricky again, and to see how well and happy they are. Pam – and to meet Silver and Kimble. Joy – Fable and Tara and to see Kelly and how she has grown but still retained the unique hairstyle. Lynne – Jilly – great to meet Sam and Lola. Look forward to hearing from you soon. I gave Novena and Bella your love – I went to see them today and found out that the lump the vet removed, thank God, was benign. Bella is looking well but has a little bit of an upset tummy. Lorraine – great to meet the wonderful Darcy.
