O’Driscoll
Age: 3
Sex: Male, neutered
History
This incredibly brave boy was picked up as a stray and rescued by IRR. When he came into our care he had a painful genetic eyelid condition as you can see from some of the photos. His early life must have been very difficult as a result of this condition. IRR contacted the eminent veterinary surgeon, Professor Grimes, who agreed to take O’Driscoll on as a patient, but he did advise that the procedure was extremely complex. After several hours of complicated surgery and several weeks of recuperation in the caring hands of IRR founder, Sandie Bissett, O’Driscoll is a new man and is now ready for adoption.
Personality
Now that he is pain-free, O’Driscoll is slowly but surely coming out of his shell and showing his true happy personality. Though he is a young dog he is quite sedate and laid back, does not walk long distances and doesn’t appear to need a lot of exercise. He is very good with other dogs.
O’Driscoll’s dream home
This boy deserves a home where he will be the centre of attention and where he will be loved unconditionally to make up for his early years and the trauma of his recent surgery. He will make a great pet for any family which is not overly active.
Behaviour with other animals: good with other dogs, unknown with cats.
Fostered: in West Midlands.
