Chip is a castrated 8 year old Golden Retriever. His history is unknown.

PERSONALITY

Chip is a wee darling and he put his head in Heather’s Mum’s knee, just wanting kisses and cuddles.

SOCIAL LEARNING

Leadwalking and general obedience: Chip is strong on the lead and doesn’t know any basic commands although Heather has done some work with him.

Grooming: He felt so much better when he was washed and just sat in the bath and let Heather work away with him. He was covered in tats all throughout his body and she spent 3 hours washing, drying and grooming him. He obviously wasn’t used to being pampered but he didn’t protest too much.

Food: He has a healthy appetite and isn’t food aggressive but he is a gulper. He is a big lad and will need to lose weight.

Dogs: Chip walked into Heather’s garden and greeted Pepper and Bailey with a sniff and a waggy tail. He hasn’t reacted in any negative ways towards them.

Cats: He wanted to play with Harley who is Heather’s exotic Persian cat. She doesn’t think he would have hurt him but he, clearly, wasn’t used to being around cats.
