Rascal
Rascal is an 8 year old neutered Golden Retriever. He is extremely handsome with a 5 generation Kennel Club pedigree certificate to match.
HISTORY
He is from NI and his date of birth was 13/11/2008. His owners didn’t have enough time for him so he ended up being kept in a shed although they did seem to care about him having a happy future.
He is in good health apart from some stiffness in his legs
He is being fostered in Scotland with the very experienced Lynn and her dogs.
PERSONALITY He is a happy, waggy tailed boy. Rascal is fairly confident, alert and inquisitive and playful whilst also being calm and laid back
SOCIAL LEARNING Rascal is well socialized and has been trained in the basic commands
Lynn says “ I only have good things to say about this lovely boy. He is calm, obedient, mannerly, affectionate, playful and great in the house.
He is mixing well with the other dogs and is taking everything in his stride. If I didn’t have so many already, I would have loved to have kept him”.

HOUSETRAINING: Rascal is fully house trained
SEPARATION ANXIETY: He shows no signs of separation anxiety
LEADWALKING: Walks `loose lead’ with a slip lead, with a halti or equivalent and with a body harness
ADULTS and CHILDREN: He is very friendly with adults but has not encountered children
DOGS: Rascal is friendly with dogs
CATS: He is very friendly with cats
RASCAL’S PERFECT FOREVER HOME
Rascal is simply looking for someone to love him and for people who will make him the centre of their world so he would be happiest in a child free home.
Lynn thinks he could go as an only dog if there was someone at home all the time as he is used to having company but he would probably very much love the company of another Retriever.
August 2017
Rascal has gone to live in his Forever Home.
