Rocky

Rocky is a rather overweight 5 year old Golden Retriever.

HISTORY

Rocky was originally purchased as a pup to be a friend for a autistic son. Sadly, he needed a new home due to personal circumstances.

PERSONALITY
He loves adult company especially when being stroked and getting tons of attention. His owner said “Rocky is the most lovable doggie”.

SOCIAL LEARNING

CHILDREN: He has lived with two small children.

DOGS: Outdoors, he gets on with most dogs but dislikes Bullbreeds. He has never lived with another dog and, therefore tends to be food and toy possessive with them.

CATS: He has lived with two cats.

ROCKY’S DREAM HOME
Rocky would love to live with a family who will adore him, will play with him and will take him for lovely walks whilst also setting firm boundaries for him. He would be happiest as an only dog where he will be able to be the centre of attention.

April 2015 Update from Rocky in his Forever Home

My name is Rocky and I am 5 years old. I have now been with my new family for 2 weeks and I am living in a small village in Essex.

I have been taken out for a walk twice a day either around the village or to the local playing field where I enjoyed watching the ducks on the pond or playing ball. I have also been to the local country park where I went running with one of my new owners and enjoyed chasing the rabbits. This weekend we all went on a long country walk around the village and I enjoyed paddling in the stream. When I returned home I had to be hosed down as I was covered in mud up to my elbows. I did not mind the hose, it cooled me down.

My new owners say I am very patient when being brushed or having my feet wiped. I love all the fuss and attention that I am getting.

I have eaten all my breakfasts and dinners and have enjoyed the occasional treat.

My owners say that I am very handsome and they are very lucky to have me.
