Skye
Age: 7 months
Sex: Female – Spayed
History
Skye was surrendered to IRR because her family did not have time for her.
She is a healthy, happy puppy.
Personality:
Skye is a typical young retriever, interested in everything that happens and she wants to be involved in everything. She is very interested in food and toys and will take anything left within her reach, but will allow you to take things out of her mouth.
She is house trained and will let you know by sitting up and staring intently.
She does chew things so it’s recommended that she have some chew-toys of her own to play with.
She wants to be with her family, has a tendency to bark when left alone in the house, but at night Skye goes into a crate and sleeps well.
Skye can be vocal in the car but is generally a good traveller. She loves to meet people, is fascinated by horses, birds and other dogs and will pull on her lead to get to them – but when she is allowed to greet other dogs she is good and hasn’t shown any signs of aggression. Skye will need further training to help her to stop pulling on the lead.
Skye loves to dig and will dig lots of holes in your garden. She is strong, slightly nervous of loud noises and curious of all things outside; inside the house she is a soft and gentle girl with a playful, happy disposition.
Skye’s Dream Home
Skye will make a fabulous pet and will continue to grow in her beautiful personality. It is recommended that her adoptive family ensures she has a “safe” place to go if she is being left unattended for a short period of time (for example a cage), particularly while she is still a puppy, to ensure she doesn’t find and chew/swallow something inappropriate.
