TARRAN IS DOING REALLY WELL IN HIS FOREVER HOME (August 2015)
Tarran is a small, dark, neutered, male Retriever Cross who was 4yrs old in 2015.
Margaret tells us ” Tarran is doing very well. His coat is growing and he now has golden waves. Tarran is still wary of visitors to the house but is gradually gaining in confidence.
He is excellent with Tilly, our 12 year old Samoyed, and Smudge, our 14 year old cat. He’s not so good with Charlie, the guinea pig, as he insists on weeing on Charlie’s hutch, or even on Charlie when he is out in his run!!!!!!!
Tarran walks very well on his lead and will walk as far as we are prepared to take him. In between times, he uses the garden as his own personal racetrack, much to the detriment of the rose bushes.
He prefers lying outside on his bed or the lawn to being inside but likes the door propped open so he can come in for a cuddle whenever he wants. He is a very loving dog, also a bit of a loony.
Thank you so much for letting him be a part of our family”.
HISTORY
Tarran was a street dog in Romania and he ended up in a public shelter with 1200 dogs.
He is very friendly with people and is very playful and happy although he is slightly anxious of new things.
Tarran’s general health is good although he is undernourished and painfully thin. His coat is a mess, long and knotted right down to the skin, so that will be dealt with as soon as possible.

UK FOSTER UPDATE (4.4.2015)
Tarran came to the the UK was undergoing assessment in his foster home which he shared with Rafi.
Pat tells us “Both boys have settled so well. It’s lovely to see them push to the front of the gang for a fuss and cuddle. Such a change in such a short time.
Both boys are light on the lead, even though we haven’t progressed very far with our walks, each time is a little further away from home and each time they are a little more relaxed. They have both been excellent with other dogs that we have met, both male and female.
House training is just about 100% successful now, only one little accident in the last couple of days and that wasn’t his fault as the door was shut.
Both Rafi and Tarran like children and are very waggy around them. I don’t think there will be any worries there.
We still haven’t managed to meet any cats but they are both so gentle I would be surprised if it were a problem.
I am still working on Tarran’s knots and we are getting there slowly but surely.
They are two dear boys. All they want is love and a fuss. They will be smashing pets for someone”.
