Teddy

Patch is a gold coloured 1 year old Golden Retriever Cross. This beautiful boy has been neutered and is due to be groomed as soon as his stitches come out.

HISTORY

Patch came from a lovely home. He has been raised with very young children and the family really didn’t want to part with him but thought it best.

PERSONALITY

He has a gentle personality and, like most Goldens, is very affectionate. Rare it is that a dog as young as this comes with a great deal of common sense but he is totally ‘bomb proof’ and would fit in anywhere. He is a little timid so some training would benefit him greatly. His personality is beginning to emerge, due mainly to his fosterer’s commitment.

SOCIAL LEARNING

General obedience: He understands a few basic commands. He is currently in foster with Natasha and she is working on his training and helping him adjust to his new surroundings.
Travel: He is fine in the car
Housetraining: He is completely house-trained
Food: He isn’t food or toy possessive but, naturally, as with all rescues, it is advisable to feed them separately.
Recall and leadwalking: His recall is excellent though his lead work does need some commitment.
Children: He has lived with very small children
Dogs: Patch would be better in a home with other dogs to help him adjust. He is great with the pack he is presently in.
Cats: He is fine with the cats.
