Tessa

(Was Jessie)

Tessa’s (was Jessie) history

Tessa is a beautiful 5yr old dog who is fantastic with children and welcomes all visitors.

She is the mother of Lola and has regularly reminded her of that fact. She likes to be “top dog” and whenever there are any rubs or hugs being handed out she will be there seeking them relentlessly.

She is pretty good on a lead and loves walking. She is full of energy and will eat anything.

She has been in pup twice – once with a pedigree Goldie ( having 3 wonderful pups, one of which was Lola) and once without permission with the local Collie (9 pups which she reared together with some of Lola’s that were born around the same time).

First report: Ireland – April 2013

Sandie says “I collected Tessa and Lola from the kennels this morning to take them to the vet before going up to the Dog Ranch for assessment. Whilst at the kennels, Lola slipped her lead and ran after the cats, but more in play than attack mode. She stopped in her tracks immediately I told her to. I then walked her and Tess around Gerry’s cats and, whilst there was curiosity, there was certainly no intent to attack which was very good.

Tessa has gone to her Forever Home.

Update from Tessa’s Forever Home 10th June 2013

We are delighted that both Tessa and her daughter Lola have completely blossomed and are enjoying life to the full since we decide to separate them. Tessa no longer has the shackles of responsibility and Lola’ s personality is free to fully develop away from the control of her mum.

Dee tells us “I’ve had Tessa for almost 3 weeks now, things are going great and she’s already part of the furniture.

From day one, everything has gone really well. She settled in immediately and seems completely at home, both in the house and with meeting new people. Tessa is one of those genuinely friendly, uncomplicated dogs and I feel very lucky that she’s come into my life. She and the kitten have a constantly strengthening relationship. Tessa has been brilliant and will deliberately go out of her way to avoid frightening the kitten, who is now much better with her, so much so they have even been known to touch noses on occasion!

Tessa has a waggy tail for every person and every dog she meets on walks but, at the same time, she isn’t pushy or in people’s faces, which is lovely.

She’s a really gentle soul and I feel incredibly lucky because she is possibly the perfect dog. I’m totally in love with her and I’m looking forward to, hopefully, many long years ahead together.

Thank you so much for bringing her into my life!”
